Wayanad tilts across the Western Ghats between Karnataka and Kerala, a plateau of cardamom, coffee and jackfruit where the forest is never more than a field away.

September to May. The monsoon (June–August) is torrential and gorgeous — for treehouse readers, not trekkers.
