Terms of service

Expevidadesigns and hosts curated travel experiences in India. We are not a marketplace, a booking aggregator or a reseller of other companies' packages: we build each experience ourselves, contract the stays, transport, guides and activities that make it up, and host it on the ground.

Some parts of an experience are delivered by third parties we contract — a resort, a driver, a certified guide, an activity operator. We choose them, we brief them and we are accountable to you for them.

• Sending a request through this site is not a booking. It is an enquiry, and it costs nothing.
• A trip is confirmed only when we say so in writing and your registration amount has been received.
• We may decline a request — a departure that is genuinely full, a group we cannot host well, or an experience whose demands do not match what has been shared with us.
• No prices are published on this site. We quote per person in Indian rupees, inclusive of applicable taxes unless we say otherwise, and we honour the price we gave you in writing.

Online payment is not live on this site yet. Every booking today is a request that a member of the team confirms with you directly before any money is discussed.

• A place is held by a registration amount of 20% of the trip cost. It is non-refundable.
• The balance is due before departure, by the date we give you in writing when you register.
• Once online payments are live, they will be processed by a regulated payment gateway. Card and bank details go to them, never to us.
• If a price on this site is obviously wrong — a decimal in the wrong place — we will tell you before taking any money, and you are free to walk away.

• Tell us the truth about fitness, health conditions, allergies, dietary needs and anything else that affects how we plan. We will keep it confidential, and we cannot work around what we do not know.
• Carry valid government photo ID. Some stays and activities will not admit you without it.
• Follow the guide's instructions on treks, water and adventure activities. This is the one place where 'we said so' is the whole reason.
• Be someone the rest of the group is glad to travel with. We reserve the right to remove a guest whose behaviour puts others at risk or ruins the trip for them, without a refund.
• Anyone under 18 travels with a parent or guardian on that adult's booking.

Itineraries describe our intent, not a contract to the minute. Weather, road conditions, wildlife-department decisions, vendor failure and plain bad luck can force a change. Where that happens we substitute something of comparable quality and tell you as early as we know.

If a change is significant enough to alter what you bought, you may cancel and we treat it as a cancellation by us — see the refunds page.

Travel involves risk. Treks, water, wildlife and roads involve more of it. We plan carefully, we work with certified guides, and we call things off when they should be called off — but we cannot make the outdoors safe, and taking part means accepting that.

We strongly recommend your own travel and medical insurance. We are not liable for loss, injury or expense caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, by your own failure to follow instructions, or by anything you booked yourself around our trip. Where we are liable, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for that trip. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not permit us to limit.

We photograph our trips, and we may use those images to describe the experience. Tell your host — at any point, including after the trip — if you would rather not appear, and we will leave you out. We will not publish an identifiable photograph of you after you have asked us not to.

Anything you upload to your Experience Vault stays private to your account. We do not use it for marketing.

The writing, photography, artwork and design on this site belong to us. Read them, share links to them, quote them with credit — but please do not republish them as your own or use them to sell a trip we are not running.

Where a page names a partner, that partner's name and marks belong to them and are used with their permission. We do not name a partner before that permission exists.

If something goes wrong, tell your host while you are still on the trip — most things can be fixed on the spot, and almost nothing can be fixed a month later. If it is not resolved, write to hello@expevida.com within 30 days of returning and a person will handle it, not a template.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

We may update these terms; the version in force is the one published here when you confirmed your trip, and the review date at the top tells you when it last changed.
